Big Lost River Valley
Personal Evolution Through Outdoor Experience
Julie lives part time north of Mackay, Idaho in the Big Lost River Valley. For ten years, Julie and Tim searched the Sierra and Rocky Mountains for a place to migrate to, that had the backcountry qualities to suit each of their passions. They happened on to Trail Creek Road, almost by accident, and found a small house with an unparalled view in all directions. The photos for banner of this page and the sunset of the home page were taken from the front deck.
The Big Lost River Valley is a the last of the high desert that extends from Mexico and ends at the Montana Border. Their flat property at elevation 6,500 feet, covered with tall northern sage brush, is surrounded by 10-12 thousand foot peaks.
Vast, open and wild, with endless riding, backcountry snowboarding, hiking, fishing and anything you can do outdoors without people, Bartlett Point is a slice of heaven for the outdoor lover.
